Types of Computer Network Topology

1. Bus Topology

This topology is that the initial topology used to connect computers. In this topology each computer will be connected to a long cable with multiple terminals, and at the end of Cable must end with a terminator.
This topology was originally used as a medium of instruction Coaxial Cable data and information. But at this point in building this topology in computer network using a cabal of optical fiber (fiber optic) but combined with other network topologies to maximize performance.

2. Ring Topology

Atay ring topology is often called a ring topology is a network topology where each computer connected to the circle. With the sense that every computer connected into one network inter-connected to two other computers so as to form a network similar to the shape of a ring.
The advantages of this topology is the cable used can be more conserved. But the shortcomings of this topology is the development of the network will be difficult because each computer will be connected to each other.

3. Token Ring Topology

This topology is similar to the ring topology will be more in the making but perfected.
In the picture clearly seen how the token ring interface Cable made into a cycle of advance and will be at the Make the terminals for each of the computers and other devices.

4. Star Topology

Or star topology is more often called star topology. In this topology we have used the help of other tools to connect computer networks.
On a clear picture serves as a central hub connecting the computers that are interconnected. The advantage of this topology is very much at ease among admins to manage the network, facilitate the addition of computers or terminals, ease of detecting damage and faults on the network. But with many of its advantages in terms of topology this is not without flaws. The drawback to such a waste of cable, the controls are centralized at the hub sometimes be a critical issue that in case of damage to the hub then all of the network will not be in use.

5. Tree Topology

Topology tree or hierarchical topology also called and can also be called multilevel topology is a topology that can be used on the network in a multilevel indoor office.
In the figure we can see the relationship between one computer to another computer with a hierarchical branching jelas.sentral center or who are at the very top of an active central central while below it is a passive central.
